This is an amazing recipe for anyone that loves chocolate, but isn't that just about everyone?
Rich and creamy, this fudge cake recipe will have everyone coming back for more.
Add ice cream and I'll be swooning, every time.

Cream butter and sugar together in large bowl.
Add the eggs, mixing well after each until fully blended.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and add to sugar mixture.
Add chocolate syrup, and mix well.
Bake at 350 degrees in well greased 9x13 inch pan sprinkled with flour for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Layer it with ice cream and top with whipped cream or top it off with one of the following chocolate frosting recipes for a to-die-for chocolate cake that will leave everyone wishing for more.
You can garnish with chocolate syrup drizzled over the plate for a bit of decorative flair, if you like. And if you add some chocolate shavings on top, you will be in chocolate heaven.
In a saucepan, add sugar, butter and milk.
Bring to a boil and boil for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
This frosting can be put onto a hot or cold cake.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Remove top of the boiler and add the sugar and hot water, blending well.
Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add butter, one tablespoon at a time and beat thoroughly.
Spread frosting on the top and sides of the cake.If desired, sprinkle nut meats on top of cake.
